The Ultimate Guide to Travelling with Stitchtopia

WWhenever we have the opportunity to meet crafters who haven’t heard of Stitchtopia, they often ask ‘how does it work?’ (and it’s actually really simple!) Each trip is a carefully constructed recipe of everything a holiday is all about – think sightseeing, relaxing hotels & shopping - and then we throw some crafting into the mix! It’s your traditional package holiday but with a whole lot more! If you’re intrigued, we’ve got your Ultimate Guide to Travelling with Stitchtopia sorted!

Accompanying each trip, you’ll find a hand-picked crafty expert. They will specialise in the trip’s particular craft & will join you throughout the trip and host their own workshops. We have great feedback regarding our experts and many have repeat travellers! To find out more about our experts, click here.

Our destinations are also carefully considered. Each location has a strong craft background – whether that be textiles, quilting, knitting or crochet & plenty of opportunities to explore and get involved in something new. Whether you enjoy a relaxing retreat, a .... cruise or a once in a lifetime trip, we’ve got it covered.

The Stitchtopia package includes workshops galore! Each trip will have a project you can create in sessions with the touring expert. A simple kit list is sent out prior to travel which advises of the essentials you need to bring with you (basic tools for your project) Along the way, there may even be the opportunity to participate in workshops with locals practising traditional crafts giving you a true taste of the country you’re visiting.

Just because you’re on a crafting holiday doesn’t mean your days are spent cooped up inside. Our tours are full of excursions to ensure you see as much of your destination as possible. We combine traditional sightseeing (and shopping trips of course!) with more crafty-based visits to museums or local textile festivals.

Complete Package

We do all the hard work for you. Your package is put together from beginning to end & will include:

  • Return transport from the UK
  • Accommodation during your trip
  • Transfers and additional transport during your trip if necessary
  • The reassurance of having a Tour Manager with you.
We really make sure you’re looked after during your trip! We hand-pick our accommodation to make sure you have a lovely place to rest your head at night and many of our trips are on a half board basis (often with some lunches included!)

No tour plan is set in stone offering you flexibility for your own needs. If you’re thinking of coming on a trip with us but don’t know who to go with, we offer a few options. We can offer a discount for non-crafting partners if a family member or friend wishes to come along. Alternatively, if you don’t have a travelling companion, why not join our "Stitch Together" programme & let us find you someone to share a room with? If you’re travelling from outside of the UK then we also offer a ‘meet us there’ discount to keep our holidays open to travellers across the globe!

Like-Minded people

One of the main reasons our travellers come back again & again is the people. From the tour managers & experts to the fellow crafters, there's a lovely friendly atmosphere on our trips & you'll be sure to make some lifelong friendships.

If all that sounds like your cup of tea, make sure you take a peek at some of our upcoming holidays!
