Whilst Elvis Week in August may be the event that claims most of the publicity each year (and rightly so given its importance to Elvis
Fans) the Celebrations over the 8th January Birthday date are fast becoming an equal hit with Elvis fans from all over the world who travel to Memphis to enjoy seeing Graceland still bedecked in its Christmas finery, and to share the occasion with fellow fans.

The ‘bonus’ is that even on this auspicious day Memphis in general and Graceland in particular are relatively quiet. There are very few tourists or conventioneers around, no long lines at Graceland – as in the summer months – and fans feel that they have the place to themselves.
