Elvis Fan Swap Meet
If you have any spare copies of Elvis records, cds, dvds, videos or whatever in your Elvis Collection that you’d be prepared to sell or swap.
If you’re short of space and don’t know what to do with your old Elvis posters, books and calendars, then bring them along to our Elvis Fan Swap Meet which will take place on the Saturday. Sell, swap and share; and remember, what might be surplus to your requirements could be just what some other fan is searching for.
Tables are free to all persons participating in the Summer Break but no dealers or new product will be allowed on the Saturday.
Sunday
Elvis Marketplace
Sunday is reserved for our Elvis Marketplace where we invite dealers and professional traders along to offer their wares to you – expect anything and everything Elvis, from mugs to rugs and socks to clocks.
Dealers wishing to reserve stalls at the Marketplace should contact us on 01473 660803. Stalls cost just £30 for two 6ft. by 2ft. tables (supplied) and will be reserved on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. No selling other than at the Swap Meet or the Marketplace will be allowed.
Elvis Memories Corner
Memories Corner is where fans can bring along their photos, slides, scrapbooks etc. of past Elvis events or holidays and show them to all – sharing their fondest memories (and reminders of past fashions, hair and long-lost waistlines!) with everyone. All this and more will take place in the hotel’s Richmond Lounge with Elvis music playing in the background or Elvis videos on the big screen.
Elvis Video Vault
We screen film or video clips throughout each day to get you in the mood for the fun evenings ahead. Don’t feel that you have to participate in everything – just dip in, and out, as the mood takes you and make the most of this great Elvis Summer Break in Torquay.
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
Live bands will perform on Saturday and Sunday evenings and a great all-Elvis Disco will take take place every night in the elegant Warwickshire Ballroom.
Greggie G & his Crazy Gang
This brilliant 4-piece party band play classic rock’n’roll, jump jive, vintage swing and boogie woogie in true ‘50s style. You’ll hear the music of the greats from that era – Fats Domino, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, plus, of course, from the best of them all – Elvis Presley.
One Night
Some great toe-tapping, finger-clicking, hip-shaking, rock’n’roll awaits you courtesy of One Night, a recently formed 5-piece male and female band. All talented musicians you’ll quickly realise where their influences come from – Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins and Elvis to name but a few. Bring along your dancin’ shoes.
All-Elvis Disco
No Elvis Break would be complete without our famous all-Elvis Disco with DJ Mark Monaghan ….so be prepared to rock the night away to the incomparable sounds of the King of Rock’n’Roll – Elvis Presley.
