Tupelo, Memphis, San Francisco & Hawaii
August 2011
Join us in August 2011 for another wonderful selection of Elvis holidays over the Anniversary period. There are four to choose from….Tour A which is our traditional Tupelo and Memphis tour that’s absolutely ideal for those fans with less time available to them or for those who are travelling for the first time and who are keen to see the most important places in Elvis’ life; Tour B which then moves on to fabulous Hawaii, the Pacific Islands that Elvis loved so much, before ending the holiday with a visit to beautiful San Francisco; Tour C which is much the same but with lots of additional time to relax and explore in Hawaii, and finally Tour D which is more for the fan who has been to Memphis lots of times and who would prefer to head straight for Hawaii (via an exciting stopover in Los Angeles) to join us there.
Whilst some tours are longer, go further or are more expensive, they all have the same superb quality that all of our Elvis holidays have – a combination of lots to see and do, well chosen hotels, tour managers that accompany you from the start to the end of each tour and a truly great atmosphere… perhaps one that you’ll only ever get when so many like-minded people travel together on a holiday that’s just so totally tailormade for them.
You’ll love Tupelo, the sleepy Southern city that’s probably the friendliest place on Earth. Elvis never forgot his roots here and when you visit you’ll appreciate why. It also helps you understand the humility of the man that became the World’s greatest ever entertainer.
The same applies to Memphis, where we show you the places that meant so much to him as well as all the other major sights of this massive metropolis. Perhaps you too will fall in love with Memphis, as Elvis did. There was a man who’s untold wealth could have allowed him to live anywhere, so why did he choose to settle permanently in a southern suburb of Memphis? When you visit Graceland that question will be answered.
Elvis adored Hawaii – from the first visit to ‘the islands’ in November 1957 it was clear that he fell in love with the place and the people. Three of Elvis’ most enduring movies were filmed there – Blue Hawaii, Girls, Girls, Girls and Paradise Hawaiian Style as well as, in audience terms, his biggest concert of all, Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii.
On our tour we’ll visit many of the venues where Elvis performed in concert and where film scenes were shot on location. Time too to soak up the Hawaiian sunshine and to enjoy the Polynesian charm and friendliness.
On the return from Hawaii we call in to San Francisco – the ‘City by the Bay’ for a couple of days of sightseeing in one of the USA’s most stunning cities – historic, charming, elegant, fun and exciting….a great way to end a fabulous holiday.
