The premium Iberostar Founty Beach Hotel is situated on the sea front promenade where a flat coastal walk takes you into the centre of Agadir. The grounds are the perfect place to relax, and soak up the winter sun around the two very large free form swimming pools. (One heated in winter). Morocco enjoys a sunshine record of 300 days a year, and you can expect average temperatures of 24 C in February.

The hotel all-inclusive board is not only great value with inclusive drinks served until midnight, but you can also expect very good quality dining and friendly attentive service. There is a wide choice of show cooking in the main restaurant and special themed evenings, and freshly pressed orange juice at breakfast. The hotel is also very easy to get around with the reception, bridge room, restaurant and terraced bar and lounges located close to each other in the centre part.

If you can tear yourself away from the beach and gardens there are a number of exciting trips available. Don’t miss fascinating Taroudant whose old city walls house a maze of souks, pomegranate groves and minarets. The best way to explore it is to ride a “caliche”, Morocco’s answer to a horse and cart, around the narrow streets. If you are feeling more adventurous take a camel trek to the Souss Bird Sanctuary at Agadir’s National Park, or join the longer excursion to vibrant Marrakech.

On this holiday we can accommodate 20 tables in our bridge room, and we have secured 30 double rooms for sole occupancy for our single travellers.

Agadir is truly a mix of old and new, since it was completely rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake that destroyed the original town. Leading hotels line the beautiful, wide, tree-lined sea front promenade edged by cafes, boutiques, and contemporary restaurants. Behind this modern face are spindly minarets, colourful bazaars and spice scented souks where tourists and locals mingle side by side and barter for goods, or shrimps and sardines from the local fish market. The walls of the old Kasbah can be seen overlooking the bay and the hillside is lit up at night with Arabic writing.

Agadir also boasts the most beautiful beach in Morocco. Beach lovers will be delighted with the 10 kms of fine, golden, powdery sand and clear seas of this Blue Flag Beach. The Iberostar Founty Beach has its own fine private stretch of the beach in front the hotel with sunbeds and umbrellas.

Golfers will be in their element. Agadir is home to three world class courses with a range of 9 - 27 holes, and they are all situated within a few kilometres of the hotel. The Golf du Soleil hosts the Moroccan Open every year and is set in acres of parkland mixing fairways and greens with palms, cacti and cypress trees. The hotel can arrange golf and have a regular shuttle bus that runs a number of times a day to the golf courses.

During your duplicate bridge holidays nothing is obligatory, you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All First for Bridge holidays include bridge tuition and seminars with a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. Duplimated boards will be used every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records will be provided.

Your duplicate bridge will usually be available twice daily, at 2.30pm and 7.45pm. The afternoon sessions usually finish between 4.45pm and 5pm, the evenings between 10.45pm - 11.15pm. The afternoons are normally given over to open pairs/teams. We endeavour to vary the evening sessions, with a balance between teams and pairs, with at least one Swiss style event during a two-week bridge break.

During all evening sessions, we utilise a duplimate machine, which means we are able to produce hand record sheets at the end of the session and when we have two or more sections, both can play the same hands. On our UK duplicate bridge breaks, provided numbers allow, we usually will lay on an "Early Bird" afternoon session on the day of arrival.

We don’t forget you are on holiday, our bridge programmes allow time for relaxation plus giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area and relax.
