The luxurious Villa Luppis, formerly a Benedictine monastery is strategically positioned on the border between the regions of Veneto and Friuli, a famous wine growing region just one hour’s drive north east of Venice.

Set in 12 acres of gardens, you can swim, stroll, relax, play bridge, play tennis, or simply enjoy the ambience of the villa and the stunning scenery. The villa is surrounded by field upon field of vines, and walkers can enjoy gentle walks from the villa along the riverside and through the countryside.

There are some wonderful picturesque Italian towns and villages in this region that are just a short drive from the hotel. Oderzo, a typical Italian town with its old building, impressive church and town square holds an exceptionally impressive market each Wednesday, and is well worth a visit, and the Villa can arrange transport for our group for a small charge.

We have INCLUDED a number of fabulous trips in the holiday package:-

We spend a full day in the famous City of Venice where you have free time to explore San Marks Square, take a gondola ride or visit the islands around the lagoon.

We visit the beautiful Italian town of Sacile, idyllically positioned on the River Livenza and noted for its rich history and Venetian architecture. Spend a half day exploring, shopping and enjoying endless photo opportunities which present themselves around every corner of this picturesque town known locally as “Little Venice”.

Included is a half day coach tour down "Prosecco Road" accompanied by the Sommelier of the Villa Luppis who will share his local knowledge of this wine growing region as we drive through beautiful countryside and stop at the vineyards to sample the wines.

Not to be missed is our visit to one of the many local wineries of this region. Again our Sommelier will accompany us to enhance our experience with his valuable knowledge.

The Villa Luppis has just 39 bedrooms, and our group will take an allocation of 35 rooms, creating a warm group ambience on the holiday.

Please note that we have only 14 sole occupancy rooms available, and our bridge room will seat 15 tables.

During your duplicate bridge holidays nothing is obligatory, you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All First for Bridge holidays include bridge tuition and seminars with a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. Duplimated boards will be used every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records will be provided.

Your duplicate bridge will usually be available twice daily, at 2.30pm and 7.45pm. The afternoon sessions usually finish between 4.45pm and 5pm, the evenings between 10.45pm - 11.15pm. The afternoons are normally given over to open pairs/teams. We endeavour to vary the evening sessions, with a balance between teams and pairs, with at least one Swiss style event during a two-week bridge break.

During all evening sessions, we utilise a duplimate machine, which means we are able to produce hand record sheets at the end of the session and when we have two or more sections, both can play the same hands. On our UK duplicate bridge breaks, provided numbers allow, we usually will lay on an "Early Bird" afternoon session on the day of arrival.

We don’t forget you are on holiday, our bridge programmes allow time for relaxation plus giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area and relax.
