If your passion is for Quilting and you would relish a relaxing cruise in the company of fellow ‘quilters’ accompanied by a renowned quilting expert, then we have the perfect holiday for you!

Norway’s majestic Fjordland is an absolute delight and the long days of summer make this the perfect time to visit. Enjoy the expertise and company of Karin Hellaby throughout the cruise. Karin will host five workshops whilst on board and accompany you on two included excursions in Amsterdam and Bergen. Plus you’ll have free time on-board to stitch to your hearts content and enjoy the company of your fellow cruisers, all against a backdrop of stunningly beautiful fjord scenery.

DAY 1:

With a late afternoon sailing you’ll have time to make your way to Tilbury where ample car parking is available, or join a coach transfer from London Victoria. Setting sail at 4pm you will have time to settle in before our welcome get-together and first dinner aboard with Karin and your fellow stitching cruisers.

DAY 2:

Enjoy a morning in the Dutch capital Amsterdam. Our exclusive included ‘ stitching themed’ excursion shows you the highlights of this beautiful city and visits the Quilting store Den Haan & Wagenmakers. This afternoon join your fellow quilters for the first of Karin’s hand stitching workshops.

DAY 3:

A relaxing day at sea with both morning and afternoon workshops giving you ample opportunity to learn new techniques as you create interesting new projects under the expert guidance of Karin.

DAY 4:

Today we arrive in the diminutive village of Flam, nestled at the head of the mighty Sognefjord. Optional excursions include a ride on the spectacular Flam Railway – undoubtedly one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world, and the classic ‘Norway in a Nutshell’.

DAY 5:

Enjoy the beautiful fjord scenery of Nordfjord where mv Columbus will drop anchor and tender boats take you ashore to the tiny village of Olden. You may choose from a number of optional shore excursions including a boat ride on Lovatnet Lake or a hike to the foot of the incredible Briksdal Glacier.

DAY 6:

Situated on the Romsdalsjord and surrounded by tall mountains is the small town of Andalsnes. From here you may choose to join an optional excursion taking in the amazing scenery of the Romsdal Valley, or a breathtaking drive on the dramatic mountain road Trollstigen with its 11 hairpin bends.

DAY 7:

The ‘Gateway to the Fjords’, Bergen, with its Hanseatic waterfront, is your final Norwegian port of call. Enjoy an included excursion showing you the highlights of Bergen and visiting a popular quilting store just outside the city. There is also time to browse the wonderful Norwegian handicraft stores in this most charming of Norwegian cities.

DAY 8:

A full day at sea as we head homeward with the time to enjoy two more workshops with Karin in our private workshop room. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner and reflect upon the ‘’stitching” adventures of the past days.

DAY 9:

Arrival back in Tilbury and after a final hearty breakfast it’s time to disembark and say goodbye to your fellow quilters.
