Each
of these super holidays will be led by Karin Hellaby who is internationally
renowned through her books on quilting, her teaching and her shop,
Quilters Haven in Suffolk. She is in great demand as a teacher and
is delighted to invite you to join her on these lovely quilting
tours. There will also be a few surprises during the holiday and
plenty of time to relax and enjoy good food and good wine in good

a memorable four-day river cruise on board a four-star CroisiEurope
river cruiser. You will travel from London to Strasbourg by Eurostar
and the TGV to board the ship and then embark upon a memorable journey
along the most beautiful section on the Rhine. There will be a variety
of hand sewing classes on board and the opportunity to visit some
spectacular sites ashore. Accommodation on board the ship is in
an outside cabin and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.
The holiday ends with a 2 night stay in Strasbourg and a Farwell
Dinner before returning to London on the TGV and Eurostar.

Enjoy visits
to Calico Barn in Morpeth hosted by Sandra Bell, an afternoon visit
to Alnwick, and a full day visit to Beamish Museum where there are
300 quilts in a ‘closed’ collection. Some of the quilts will be
on display for our group and will be introduced by the Senior Curator,
Rosy Allan. More quilts from the collection will be on display in
the other buildings
around the
site.

2009 we will make our first visit to the to the world-renowned Quilting
Symposium in New Zealand, which only takes place every two years.
You’ll enjoy a week in the pretty capital, Wellington, and have
the chance to participate in the classes on offer. At the end of
your stay you can either return to the UK, or take an optional extension
tour and explore the majestic beauty of South Island.
