Kvarner Bay of Islands

After breakfast, we continue our journey to the endearing Rab Island, otherwise known as the ‘Island of Love’. We’ll have lunch on board our ship before having the option to join a guided excursion of the island’s highlights. Discover Romanesque churches, impressive palaces, quaint cobbled streets, ancient architecture and watch inspired artists dotted around the civic squares, working on their masterpieces. Later on, there’s the opportunity to try the island’s famous ‘rapska torta’ cake at a local cuisine tasting session, although there’ll be no telling of the secret recipe! We’ll stay docked in Rab overnight.

Get your day off to a great start with a morning wholly dedicated to relaxation. Swim in the refreshing clear waters of the Adriatic around the island of Maun, or get lost in a good book, unwinding on the sun deck. After lunch, we head to the vibrant city of Zadar, famous for its beautiful Old Town peninsula. Join us on an included guided excursion, discovering the city’s fascinating historical sites, from the 1st century Roman Forum and the striking 9th century Church of St. Donatus, to the splendid medieval Cathedral of St. Anastasia and the sloping city walls. The evening is at leisure to further explore Zadar and sample Croatian delights at the local restaurants. Be sure to head down to the seafront, too, to hear the famous Sea Organ and watch the magical ‘Greeting to the Sun’ light show.

We’ll leave Zadar early this morning and, depending on the space in the small harbours, we’ll stop at one of two islands, Molat or Olib, in the Zadar archipelago. Today’s gentle sailing adventure is all about rest and rejuvenation, admiring captivating landscapes, secluded bays, tranquil coves and pine-lined shores. On board the ship this evening, it’s the Captain’s dinner party, with a specially-selected menu and entertainment to keep you partying into the night. We’ll remained anchored for the night.

Enjoy a morning swim after breakfast, before we make our way over to the scarcely-populated island of Ilovik to explore its untouched bays and abundant reef life. Next, we sail to the idyllic island of Losinj, known as the ‘Sunshine Island’. Boasting beautiful hidden coves, lush landscapes and a trendy Mediterranean vibe, it’s easy to see why Losinj is so popular. We’ll dock in Mali Losinj for the night, where you’re free to explore the pretty waterfront, visit the Losinj Aromatic Garden or even take a stroll to the nearby village of Veli Losinj.

After breakfast and another morning swim, we’ll leave Losinj behind and set sail for Cres Island. This unspoilt island was once connected to Losinj, before the Romans built a channel to separate the two. Here, you’ll find sweeping olive groves and vineyards, blankets of beech and oak trees and spectacular remains of the ancient city walls. We’ll remain in port overnight, so you have more time to explore the island’s medieval town and enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant tucked away on one of its hidden squares or courtyards.

This morning, our wonderful cruise comes to an end. Enjoy breakfast at leisure, then bid farewell to the ship, crew and fellow guests, before disembarking around 9am.
