This holiday has an incredible amount of activities on offer in and out the bridge room and you can join in as little or as much as you want! During the day you can learn new tricks and improve your bridge during our classes, or you can join in some of our group walks in the mountains.
Kaprun is located up in the mountain valley and linked to Zell am See by a 13-minute drive or a scenic alpine walk along the riverside. In Kaprun you can take the cable cars up the incredibly high 3029m Kizsteinhorn, which opens up an unforgettable world of glaciers and mountains amongst Austria’s highest peaks. You can walk and hike on the Maiskogel Mountain or visit Kaprun’s high-altitude reservoirs, deep blue lakes at an altitude of 1200 metres with panoramic views of the Grossglockner mountains – quite unique!
During our stay James and Jane will be arranging some group walks for those who wish to join them and play bridge on top of a mountain. Or you can simply use your summer card and do your own thing at your own pace.
All guests will receive a free Zell am See – Kaprun summer card which allows you to enjoy a wide range of nearby tourist experiences! You can go up the glacier and cable cars in both Kaprun and Zell am See, visit the dams, take a boat trip on the lake, or walk through the Siegmund Thun gorge. The card even gives you free or reduced entry to other local attractions and reduced costs on local buses.
