Our qualified & experienced directors construct a programme of interesting seminars and varied bridge sessions to offer variety during each holiday.

Southampton is the perfect location for a late summer bridge break! There is so much to do here and our characteristic hotel, the Mercure Southampton Centre Dophin Hotel, is right in the heart of this sea-faring city allowing you to explore everything with ease.

Take a maritime walk around the historic harbour with its medieval walls, relax in one of the many bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour, and watch some of the largest cruise ships in the world leave to travel to all corners of the world. If you’re looking for a little down-time, the upmarket Ocean Village is the perfect spot to sit back, relax and mingle with the jet set!

The city itself offers great shopping - the Westquay Shopping Centre is perfect for some great retail therapy - and boasts an abundance of leafy parks, open spaces and a host of historic buildings & museums. Follow the Titanic trail, after all it first departed Southampton in 1912, and its interactive model is on display in the Seacity Museum. The Solent Sky Museum with the iconic Spitfire is also worth a visit, as is the Beaulieu National Motor museum and the Tudor House and Gardens which displays artifacts covering 800 years of history including the penny farthing bike.

If you fancy exploring outside the city, the beautiful New Forest is a short drive away or why not take a short ferry boat trip from Southampton to the Isle of Wight?

We play bridge in the spacious Jane Austen Suite - a Grade II listed coaching inn with much character. The suite is named after Jane Austen in recognition that she hosted her 18th birthday party in this very hotel!
