Bridge in the Swiss Alps, Wengen

Wengen is a picture postcard Swiss mountain village, situated high on a sunny plateau overlooking the mighty Jungfrau and Eiger Mountains, and down into the valley onto Lauterbrunnen, the valley of 72 waterfalls. This charming village nestling between floral pastures, lush green countryside and snow-capped mountains is traffic free and reached by mountain railway.

Included to enhance your holiday:

Included in your package is a 7-day Jungfrau Region rail pass worth £230. It is the ONLY way to fully experience the Bernese Overland and travel without limits on mountain railways. It also includes boat trips on the Brienzersee and Thunsee, the two lakes at the foothills of the majestic mountains, with Interlaken, one of the most visited places in Europe nestling between them. It also gives you a reduction on the journey up the Jungfrau - to the Top of Europe at 3454 metres above sea level. The views from the Sphinx Observation Deck at the top are incredible and on a good day you can see as far as the Black Forest in Germany and the Vosges Mountains in France.

There is so much to do in this region the list is endless. Using your pass you can reach snow capped mountain tops and sun blessed villages where walkers can enjoy hiking trails of all levels or you can simply relax and appreciate the gorgeous scenery in picturesque Grindelwald, on the Kleine Scheidegg or up the Harder Kulm. Take the cable car up the Mannlichen Mountain in Wengen where you have 360 degree views of the mountains and valley and you can walk the Royal Walk in 30 minutes across the mountain top.
