North East England Quilting Retreat

"This north east quilting retreat is an idea that Karin and I have been talking about for some time. Combining both mine and Karin’s knowledge of the local area, this retreat gives you the opportunity to explore the local area, spend time quilting with Karin and your fellow quilters and shop in some of the areas many quilt shops." - Alison White, Head of Craft Holidays

I am excited to be able to lead this textile tour to the north east of England as it is the area where I grew up. I am very familiar with all the wonderful places we will be visiting. The museums are all excellent and Durham Cathedral is spectacular!  We pass through the beautiful Northumberland landscape on our way to the amazing Alnwick Castle. This is a real discovery for those of you who have never been to this part of England. The two days of hand sewing (kit included) will reflect the traditional patchwork of the northeast with a new twist. A relaxing time for you to catch up with friends old and new. - Our expert, Karin Hellaby
