Uzbekistan is on many a textile lover’s bucket list. Situated on the Silk Road, one of the world’s most important historical trading routes linking China to the Mediterranean, Uzbekistan offers a collection of culture and a fascinating textile history.

  • Hand-sewing workshops with Pat Archibald (May) or Karin Hellaby (October), kit included
  • City tours of Tashkent, Kokand, Margilan, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand as well as excursions along the way
  • Folk Show at Madrassah Nadir Divan-Begi
  • Embroidery workshop at Alisher Nazrullayev’s house
