Bridge at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace, South Tenerife

Join us on a visit to the delightful H10 Costa Adeje Palace on the south of the island of Tenerife. The location is superb, with direct access to the long, flat seaside promenade and to la Enramada Beach. You will find shops and eateries nearby, but if you wish to venture further afield, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus into Playa de las Americas. The H10 Costa Adeje Palace boasts superb facilities and charming gardens with waterfalls and relaxing areas overlooking the coast. As well as 4 outdoor pools, you can enjoy the heated indoor pool in winter or treat yourself to a pamper at the luxurious Despacio Spa Centre.

We play bridge in the Caleta Room each evening and during some afternoons. The hotel offers a full daily programme that includes Spanish and dancing classes, cooking and cocktail workshops, as well as aqua gym, meditation, stretching and aerobics. The Costa Adeje Golf Course is less than 2km away, and the hotel offers special green fees on some courses.

Colin Simcox is an EBU Panel Director who can be seen at many events, especially across the West Country and Wales.

Colin was fortunate to learn bridge whilst at school, now some 40 years ago. He has been playing regularly ever since and has represented Somerset in the Tollemache Cup on many occasions, as well as the Corwen Trophy and Pachabo. A former Space Planning manager, Colin is now retired and enjoys travelling to warmer climates with his wife Marilyn in their trusty motorhome.

Itinerary

Fly from UK to Tenerife South Airport and transfer to the H10 Costa Adeje Palace.

If you book your own flight, we will meet you at Tenerife South Airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.

Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.

Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams. On UK holidays, bridge sessions may take place in the mornings instead of the afternoons, complimenting any included excursion programme.

Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.

During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.

If you fancy some serious shopping, head to Playa de las Americas just 7km away. From your hotel, you can stroll along the seaside promenade and find a choice of beaches worthy of a stop to take a dip or relax, and plenty of eateries and tourist shops and facilities to choose from. If you fancy exploring further afield, take a trip to Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, and ascend to the imposing crater by cable car up to 3,718m for outstanding views across the island.

Alternatively, you can simply relax and enjoy the excellent facilities and entertainment programme the Costa Adeje Palace has to offer.

If you have booked your own flight, we will transfer you to Tenerife South Airport.
