Cruising the Gulf of Bodrum

Our voyage begins in the colourful coastal town of Bodrum, where our ship and friendly crew await. We’ll meet and embark in the early afternoon, when you can settle into your cabin before exploring bazaar-style stalls, boutique shops, and traditional cafés and restaurants. You may choose to visit the ancient ruins of Halicarnassus to discover its fascinating history and admire the beautiful scenery over the old flour windmills of the region. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow guests on board, before spending the night in port.

After breakfast we’ll cruise to Orak Island, where there is free time for a swim stop, enjoy the sweeping white sandy beaches contrast with the clear turquoise sea. After lunch we set sail for the bay of Çökertme, a picturesque fishing town backed by pine trees and olive groves, famous for its unique style of kebab with which it shares its name.

Early this morning we’ll sail to the Seven Islands. Our final stop of the day will be picturesque Kufre bay, which is surrounded by pine forests, before continuing on to Uzun Liman. There’ll be numerous opportunities for a refreshing dip in the azure waters and the bay is also the perfect snorkelling spot thanks to its variety of marine life. We’ll then sail to Ayinda Bay for an overnight stay.

This morning we arrive on the pristine shores of Sedir Island, also known as Cleopatra Island as it is believed that Cleopatra and husband Mark Anthony used to swim in the turquoise waters. Legend has it that the golden sand was shipped in from Egypt. After alighting at the bay, you’re free to stroll along the beaches or marvel at the tumbledown ruins of the Byzantine fortress. Sedir Island was once home to the ancient city of Cedrae, and the Roman ruins found on the island are some of the best preserved in this region. Alternatively, return to the ship for a relaxing afternoon of swimming and sunbathing. Later this evening we’ll set sail and cruise to nearby Karacasöğüt. where we’ll enjoy dinner on board and drop anchor for the night.

Following a leisurely breakfast we cruise to Löngöz Bay, another picturesque paradise of the Turkish coastline.  Lunch will be served on board before a chance to swim in the shallows or head ashore to climb the surrounding hills for panoramic views over the whole gulf. This enchanting bay is surrounded by lush forests, descending down from steep hills to the water’s edge. We set sail to the turquoise waters of Tuzla bay, where we’ll enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening on board.

Early this morning we arrive at Kargili Bay one of the nicest sandy beaches on the Bodrum Peninsila. After lunch we continue cruising to Kisebuku where we will drop anchor for the rest of the day. Here you can relax on the beach, take a stroll along the water’s edge or walk to discover the local Byzantine Ruins. We’ll moor here overnight and dine on board.

Today is our final full day together. We set sail early for Pabucburnu, where we’ll enjoy breakfast on board overlooking the sweeping sandy beach. You’ll have time to sunbathe and enjoy a refreshing morning swim, or enjoy our optional village tour from Yalıçiftlik. Immerse yourself in the local culture and learn about the 6th century shipwreck hiding beneath the water, which makes this little town famous amongst scuba divers.  In the late afternoon we’ll cruise to Bodrum where we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner before a final night in port.

Today marks the end of our voyage together. After a leisurely breakfast on board you’ll bid farewell to your captain, crew and fellow guests, before disembarking and beginning your journey home.
