Milan and the Italian Lakes Quilting Retreat Experience the best of both worlds on this fantastic two-centre holiday which combines a stay in the global capital of art and design, Milan, with a relaxing retreat amongst the tranquil setting of Lake Levico. Our Italian escape begins with two nights in the bustling metropolis of Milan; and what better place to gather creative inspiration than one of the fashion capitals of the world. Discover the secrets of the Aurifil factory with a guided tour, meet the embroiders of Pino Grasso embroidery and visit the fascinating Como Silk Museum on route to our next destination. Situated overlooking the waters of Lake Levico, one of the cleanest lakes in Italy, and surrounded by the peaks of the Dolomites, Levico really is idyllic, and the perfect location for a relaxing retreat following our short city break. During our stay, we’ll enjoy four full-day quilting workshops with Karin, relax in the hotel gardens and maybe indulge in a spot of pampering at the wellness centre. Several projects will be offered on this retreat, using mountains and lakes as our inspiration and using several different Aurifil threads for machine and hand embroidery.
