Meet Janet Clare and your Arena Travel Tour Manager at London Heathrow airport for the flight to Prague. On arrival, we will transfer to our hotel where we enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. It’s the perfect way to meet and get to know your fellow stitchers.

After breakfast, we will take a short transfer into Prague to enjoy a walking tour. Uncover the history of this city as you capture the highlights with a local guide. The rest of the day at leisure to further explore Prague or relax at the hotel and continue with our projects.

This morning, we will check out of our hotel in Prague and drive to Brno. On route to Brno we will stop at the newly established Museum Ostrov Lidovych Kroju. This museum houses Czech Republic Folk costumes for women, men and children, along with an impressive collection of embroidered ribbons and cutwork. Some of the costumes here are over 200 years old! We then continue our journey to Brno. Upon arrival in Brno we will check in to our hotel before venturing into the city for a walking tour. This evening is at leisure.

In 2023 the 15th International Textile Exhibition, Prague Patchwork Meeting Quilt Show, is being hosted in Brno. Until 2019 it took place in Prague and, after a long pause,
it continues at the Brno Exhibition Centre. It is the largest show of combined textile techniques in Central and Eastern Europe.
This is a truly international experience with exhibitors from across the world and more
than 900 collections of quilts.
There is plenty to see and do for quilters of all levels and experience.

Tour Notes: You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness to get the most out of this holiday. On excursion days you will need to walk a short distance from the hotel to the coach and you should be able to board the coach unaided. On arrival at the excursion destination, you should be able to alight the coach unaided and there may be a walk between the coach drop off point and the excursion venue. By their nature, walking tours, museum visits etc involve being on your feet for a significant amount of time. Whilst our excursions are taken at a leisurely pace, for the enjoyment of everyone in the group you should be able to keep up with your fellow travellers.
