Sew a Perfectly Fitting Dress
We are excited to be working with Charlotte Newland, winner of the Great British Sewing Bee 2016, to bring you a fantastic weekend of dressmaking focusing on creating a dress that fits you perfectly. You will leave with a pattern that is customised to you and which you can make over and over again, along with a sense of achievement and some great memories!
Your Tour Includes
- Two nights’ full board accommodation, starting with dinner on Friday and ending with lunch on Sunday.
- Two full days of tuition with Charlotte Newland, winner of the Great British Sewing Bee 2016.
- Tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the weekend.
- Use of Bernina sewing machines – no need to drag your sewing machine
- Maximum of eight students so lots of 1-2-1 attention
Itinerary

SKILL LEVEL: This is an advanced-beginners retreat. It is best if you already know how to use a commercial dressmaking pattern. You may progress more quickly with the project if you have some dressmaking knowledge and have completed a couple of projects already. All students must be comfortable with sewing machine basics: threading, seams, hems etc. Note: The focus of the sewing sessions will be on creating a dress that will fit you perfectly. You may not 100% finish your dress, depending on how quickly you sew. You will leave with a pattern that is customised to you which you can make over and over again, and all the knowledge to finish your dress off at home.
