Seychelles Island Hopping in the Garden of Eden

Following your arrival, we’ll meet for the first time in Mahe, where M/Y Pegasos, our ship and home for the week, awaits. After boarding at 3pm, you’ll have time to settle into your cabin and enjoy a welcome cocktail, before we set sail for the nearby island of Sainte Anne. Indulge in a refreshing dip in the sea, then jump back on board to tuck into our welcome dinner. We’ll anchor here overnight.

We’ll leave Sainte Anne this morning and sail to our next destination, Curieuse. What was once a leper colony is now a stunning island, completely uninhabited other than for the giant tortoises that call it home. Be led through the mangroves by a knowledgeable local park guide, then stop for a barbecue lunch under the shade of gently swaying palm trees. This afternoon, you’re free to do as you please, whether that be getting lost in a good book on the beach or grabbing a snorkel and seeing what marine life you can spot in the crystal-clear waters. Our ship will be docked here for the night.

This morning, we’ll set sail for Cousin Island, home to a local bird sanctuary and over a quarter of a million nesting birds during breeding season each year. But birds aren’t the only thing nesting here – there are a number of beaches here where hawksbill turtles and even green turtles come to lay their eggs, so keep a close eye out for them. We’ll have lunch here, then depart for Anse Lazio on Praslin Island, widely considered to be one of the best beaches in the world. Unwind on its picture-perfect shores or try your hand at some water sports if you’re feeling particularly energetic. We’ll stay here for the night.

We’ll set sail early this morning, en route to our next stop, Aride. Here, local rangers will meet us and take us on an adventure to the very top of the island, discovering flora and wildlife totally unique to this island, like the Seychelles warbler. Have your camera at the ready as we take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the whole atoll from up high, a truly unforgettable sight. We’ll have lunch back on board the ship as we sail to St. Pierre for a 3-hour snorkelling and swimming trip. After an action-packed day, we’ll take a sunset sail towards Baie Sainte Anne on Praslin, where we’ll dock for the evening and enjoy a traditional Creole night.

After breakfast this morning, you have the opportunity to join us on an optional excursion to the lush and tropical Vallee de Mai. This UNESCO World Heritage protected nature reserve is home to a diverse array of plant and wildlife species, including the Coco de Mer tree, which has the largest seeds in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for intriguing birds, reptiles and mammals, from Black Parrots, to Tiger Chameleons and Blind Snakes. This afternoon, we’ll sail to either Felicite or Grand Soeur for a dip in the crystalline sea, before continuing on to La Digue, where we’ll anchor for the night.

When you wake up this morning, it’ll be easy to see why La Digue is the most photographed community in the Seychelles. Why not join us on our optional excursion to explore it even further? Step back in time as we visit colonial plantation houses and take a tour of a traditional coconut oil mill, giving you a true sense of the local culture and heritage. In the afternoon, we’ll spend time on the breathtaking Anse Source D’Argent, renowned as being one of the most spectacular beaches in the Southern Hemisphere, its iconic granite boulders are a sight to behold. In the late afternoon, we’ll say a fond farewell to La Digue and head for Moyenne Island to anchor for the night.

Today, we’ll make the most of our last full day together, starting off with a short, guided tour around Moyenne Island. After that, you’re free to enjoy a final swim or snorkel in the dazzling blue waters of the Indian Ocean, before we end the afternoon in the most perfect way, with a barbecue on the beach. We’ll then sail back to Mahe for our last night, bringing the evening to a memorable close with a Captain’s farewell dinner, accompanied by live music and dancing.

This morning, our wonderful cruise together comes to an end. Enjoy breakfast at leisure, before disembarking at 9am, ready for your onward journey home.
