Lunchtime arrival into London Heathrow.

Time to relax and perhaps finish your stitching project before transferring to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.

Today you'll enjoy a second full-day workshop at 'My Sewing Room' with Janet Clare, who will guide you through her project, specially designed for this holiday.

Immerse yourself in Western Canada’s largest outdoor quilt show at Calgary’s Festival of Quilts. Wander over to the merchant’s mall offering the latest and the greatest to the quilting community. Watch the ‘how-to’ demonstrations and get inspiration for your creativity and admire the hundreds of quilts on display in and around the historical buildings at Calgary’s authentic heritage park.

Anne Dale invites you to ‘My Sewing Room’ where you will enjoy a full day of stitching in the excellent workshop facility. Anne is an international teacher and will have a Canadian-inspired project for you to stitch under her guidance.

This morning, enjoy some time at leisure to relax and explore Banff, which has great opportunities for shopping and a wonderful choice of cafes and restaurants.  After lunch we will drive to Canmore where we will visit the delightful Sugar Pine Co. quilt store before continuing to Calgary, where we will check in to our hotel for our 5-night stay.

Early this morning, you’ll be transferred by coach to the train where you will continue your journey east on the Rocky Mountaineer to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. You’ll head through Craigellachie, famous for being the site of the Canadian Pacific Railway’s completion, and then take in the views as you climb over Rogers Pass and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies.  In the evening you’ll arrive at Lake Louise and then continue to your end destination, the charming mountain resort of Banff.

A 5-star welcome awaits you as you board the Rocky Mountaineer for the amazing 2-day adventure following a centuries-old route. On today’s journey you will travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. You’ll pass the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. In the evening we arrive in Kamloops where you are free to explore the city or relax at the hotel.

This morning, a sightseeing tour of Vancouver has been arranged with a local guide. Highlights include Stanley Park, which is densely forested with over half a million trees, Lions Gate Bridge, a National Historic Site of Canada, and Chinatown. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore further. You may wish to visit the artisan shops and market on Granville Island, where you can purchase handcrafted products and unique souvenirs.

Meet Janet Clare and your Tour Manager at London Heathrow for your flight to Vancouver.  Upon arrival, transfer via coach to the Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Suites where you will check in for 2 nights. Enjoy the rest of the day and evening at leisure.
