Overview

Board the African Queen in the small village of Mapledurham near Reading at 5pm. We are introduced to the captain and crew and enjoy a welcome drink followed by Cape Malay, a traditional South African dish served this evening.

After breakfast we set sail upstream through the heart of Wind in the Willows country to reach the pretty village of Goring-on-Thames. Enjoy some free time and lunch ashore. Later this afternoon we cruise to Mapledurham followed later by a three-course evening meal.
