Day 1: London – Berlin

We journey aboard Eurostar from London to Brussels and continue by rail to Cologne and Berlin where we check in at our hotel.

Day 2: Berlin

Berlin has undergone enormous change in the last decade and blossomed into a vibrant yet relaxed capital city, with so much to enjoy. This morning, we include a sightseeing tour with local guide, where we will see some of the top attractions, such as the impressive Reichstag building, home to the German parliament; the famous Brandenburg Gate, Germany’s iconic symbol; the remains of the Berlin Wall and Potsdamer Platz, one of the busiest squares in Europe. The afternoon is free to take in more of the city before we return to our hotel where dinner is served after which you can enjoy a relaxing evening or see the city lit up at night.

Day 3: Berlin – Prague

This morning we take the train to Prague. We arrive in the afternoon and check in at our hotel. Dinner is included at our hotel this evening.

Day 4: Prague

There are few cities in Europe that match Prague, which boasts some 600 years of beautifully preserved architecture. This morning, we include a guided tour of the city taking in the key landmarks including Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock plus Wenceslas Square. We have left tonight free for you to dine out; why not have dinner in a traditional restaurant in Prague this evening to sample some local cuisine?

Day 5: Prague

We have left today free for you to explore Prague at your leisure; why not visit Prague Castle – the largest ancient castle in Europe or the beautiful Spanish Synagogue.

Day 6: Prague – Budapest

This morning we travel by rail to Budapest. We arrive later in the day for a relaxing evening with dinner included at our hotel.

Day 7: Budapest

Today we have a full day in Budapest, starting with a guided tour this morning. Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with an extensive area recognised as a world heritage site. We can explore both sides of Hungary’s capital which is divided by the meandering Danube – traditional Buda and the more cosmopolitan Pest. Most of the famous sites are concentrated around Castle Hill on the Buda side, in downtown Pest and along the riverside walkways. Highlights include the Royal Palace, Fishermen’s Bastion, the Parliament building, St Stephen’s Basilica, Heroes’ Square, the Chain Bridge, and many more. The afternoon is free to discover more of this beautiful city at your leisure, before returning to the hotel.

Day 8: Budapest – Vienna

This morning we take the train to Vienna and arrive around lunchtime. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax, or you can explore this beautiful city.

Day 9: Vienna

Spend a full day experiencing the delights of Vienna, capital of Austria and birthplace of classical music. Start the day off with our tour of the city with a local guide. Vienna is a magnificent city and is home to more than 150 grand palaces, over 27 baroque castles, impressive squares and striking monuments. During your free time this afternoon why not take a ride on the giant ferris wheel, or you may choose to see the sights from a horse-drawn carriage. There are also hundreds of museums and attractions to visit, as well as lots of green space. This evening we enjoy a traditional two course evening meal with wine in a Heuriger restaurant, with its own unique history and atmosphere.

Day 10: Vienna – London

We set off this morning and travel by high-speed rail to Brussels, where we join Eurostar for the return to London.

This 4 star hotel is set in architecture from the 19th century and is one of the classic landmarks of Vienna, it is close to the Liechtenstein Palace and Augarten Park.
