The 4* superior Hotel Aurelia is extremely well located; on the beach front, yet only a few steps from the centre of Milano Marittima - the cradle of luxury shopping! This upmarket resort on the Adriatic Riviera is a popular holiday location for the Italians, and offers a good range of chic boutiques, cafes, restaurants and tourist facilities. The wide, sandy beach at Milano Marittima is simply stunning - just perfect for those who enjoy a long beach walk, and beyond its beaches, you can walk through lush nature parks and pinewoods.

A leisurely, flat walk along the canal side takes you right into the quaint old town of Cervia (0.8 miles). Enjoy a coffee in the main square and watch the people go by, explore the cobbled streets and alleyways, stroll along the modern sea front promenade, or if you wish to venture further afield, take a train from the well-connected station to a wide range of different towns & cities. Barter at the weekly market that takes over the main piazza each Thursday.

The delightful seaside resort of Cesenatico is a mere 10 minute train journey from Cervia and an absolute must to visit. The historic canal side is abundant with local craft shops and walkways and is famous because it was designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

We INCLUDE in our package two superb excursions:

  • Visit the tiny republic of San Marino, one of the smallest and oldest republics on earth.
  • Enjoy a guided tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Cultural city of Ravenna where you can absorb a day of Roman and Byzantine relics, Christian Mosaics, aspiring churches, museums and the miracle of the ivory of the bishop’s chair.

During your duplicate bridge holidays nothing is obligatory, you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All of our bridge holidays include bridge seminars with handouts in addition to a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. We use duplimated boards every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records are provided, as well as bridge partners if needed.

Your duplicate bridge will usually be available twice daily, at 2.30pm and 7.45pm. The afternoon sessions usually finish between 4.45pm and 5pm, the evenings between 10.45pm - 11.15pm. The afternoons are normally given over to open pairs/teams. We endeavour to vary the evening sessions, with a balance between teams and pairs, with at least one Swiss style event during a two-week bridge break.

During all evening sessions, we utilise a duplimate machine, which means we are able to produce hand record sheets at the end of the session and when we have two or more sections, both can play the same hands. On our UK duplicate bridge breaks, provided numbers allow, we usually will lay on an "Early Bird" afternoon session on the day of arrival.

We don’t forget you are on holiday, our bridge programmes allow time for relaxation plus giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area and relax.

We dine in the elegant main restaurant at 18.30 each evening where we have buffet starter and desert and main dishes served to the table. Dining here is a pleasure, and much of the product served in the restaurant is from the Batani Select Hotels own farms and delivered fresh to their hotels daily.
