JOIN US FOR A BRIDGE CRUISE TO ICELAND WITH FRED OLSEN

From whales to waterfalls, geysers to geothermal waters, the thrilling diversity of Iceland awaits your discovery!

Join us for a thirteen-night bridge cruise which is full of natural beauty and departs from Dover, You will sail by intriguing wonders such as Ellioaey Island, with its one isolated house; and call into picturesque Isafjorour, where tours to Vigor Island present the chance to spot a plethora of birdlife, including puffins and eider duck.

After cruising past the Eyjafjallajokulll Volcano we spend two days in the quaint capital, Reykjavik, with its quirky cafes and striking architecture. Then onwards we sail to Akureyi, on the northern side of the island, where it is very green and different to the volcanic south. Here we search for magnificent humpbacks of the coast and explore the remote town of Seyoisfjorour surrounded by unspoilt scenery.

On route to and from Iceland we stop in the Orkney Islands and the Faroe Islands to experience more stunning scenery, and island way of life.

Every evening after first dining we enjoy duplicate bridge sessions with our EBU qualified director and host. As always we will offer a varied and interesting bridge programme and Masterpoints will be awarded. Our director will present two seminars during the cruise and a bridge session will also be arranged during each day that we are at sea. We can accommodate10 tables in our bridge room.

The Boudicca is part of the Fred Olsen fleet, and has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment. This smaller, friendlier, classically designed ship accommodates just up to 880 persons, and takes you closer, into ports larger cruise ships are unable to reach.

For your enjoyment and to add value to your holiday we have upgraded our bridge group to receive the all-inclusive drinks package and pre-paid gratuities.

From whales to geysers, waterways to geothermal pools, the thrilling diversity of Iceland awaits your discovery as you explore three sides of this astonishing country on an incredible 13-night voyage.

On the west coast, stop overnight in Reykjavik – gateway to the wonders of the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon; and visit Ísafjörður, for a chance to observe charming puffins on a tour to Vigur Island.

Along the north coast, divert deep into Eyjafjörður all the way to Akureyri, starting point for exhilarating whale watching adventures; and then savour the stunning scenery of Seyðisfjörður in the east.

Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All of our bridge holidays include bridge seminars with handouts in addition to a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. We use duplimated boards every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records are provided, as well as bridge partners if needed.

On our bridge cruises bridge sessions will be offered every evening after early dinner sitting. We will also arrange a bridge session during the days we are at sea, working around the ships itinerary and ports of call.
