What a location! The Iberostar Bijela Park sits directly on the sea front promenade in Bijela with incredible views across the famous Boka Kotorska Bay. Cruise ships sail past the hotel terraces as they enter the deep blue fjord flanked by high topped mountains on route to Kotor. Just sit on the terraces, relax on the hotels private beach or on your spacious balcony and absorb the stunning scenery - it really is breath taking.

Originally known as the Carine Park Hotel, this well rated hotel is now part of the Iberostar group, an international hotel group recognised for its good quality and services.

Bedrooms are modern, well equipped and spacious with mountain or sea view rooms - and with sea views like these it is well worth upgrading for a small supplement.

Dining is very good quality - the original family who owned this hotel have a large BIO farm in Montenegro and they will continue to sell their cheese and meat products exclusively to the hotel. The package is also all inclusive, so it represents excellent value.

Facilities are also very impressive - a lovely private beach, outdoor pool and large indoor pool to choose from. Or you can treat yourself to an afternoon at the rooftop spa with its whirlpools, saunas and sunbeds with views right across the bay. There are plenty of pleasant places to relax on the hotel terraces or in its spacious, comfy lounge.

We have included in our package three superb half day excursions by boat across Kotor Bay.

We visit the fortified city of Kotor - the most visited historic city in Montenegro with its medieval buildings, cobbled squares, cathedral, Romanesque churches, and clock tower all within its city walls. We also stop to see the legendary “Lady on the Rocks”.

We take a trip to Tivat and the exclusive Port of Montenegro for serious shopping or just to sip a glass of wine and try to spot an” A lister descending from his luxury yacht.

Our third excursion takes us into the beautiful old town of Herceg Novi, full of winding streets and flower courtyards, and boasting an old fortress and an amphitheatre amongst its many attractions.

If you want to explore independently getting around on the local buses and ferries is cheap and easy. Bijela itself offers a small selection of shops and restaurants that can easily be reached on foot from the hotel along its seafront promenade.

During your duplicate bridge holidays nothing is obligatory, you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All of our bridge holidays include bridge seminars with handouts in addition to a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. We use duplimated boards every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records are provided, as well as bridge partners if needed.

Your duplicate bridge will usually be available twice daily, at 2.30pm and 7.45pm. The afternoon sessions usually finish between 4.45pm and 5pm, the evenings between 10.45pm - 11.15pm. The afternoons are normally given over to open pairs/teams. We endeavour to vary the evening sessions, with a balance between teams and pairs, with at least one Swiss style event during a two-week bridge break.

During all evening sessions, we utilise a duplimate machine, which means we are able to produce hand record sheets at the end of the session and when we have two or more sections, both can play the same hands. On our UK duplicate bridge breaks, provided numbers allow, we usually will lay on an "Early Bird" afternoon session on the day of arrival.

We don’t forget you are on holiday, our bridge programmes allow time for relaxation plus giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area and relax.
