Principe Palace Hotel has great reviews on TripAdvisor and has received a Certificate of Excellence. It is ranked 11th out of 251 hotels located in Lido di Jesolo.

Back by popular demand! We return to the delightful Principe Palace Hotel, in Lido di Jesolo for our third bridge holiday. This family run hotel is ideally located in the centre of Piazza Mazzini, and close to many shops, cafes and restaurants. It has a wonderful roof top swimming pool and terraces with panoramic views across the resort and the Venetian Lagoon in the distance. Here you can relax during the day and soak up some sun or enjoy a light lunch or drink. The hotel also boasts an old fashioned coffee shop, Café Principal on the ground floor overlooking the square where you can enjoy a delicious cake or pastry and sit back and people watch. Evening meal is taken on the 4th floor restaurant overlooking the square, where previous First for Bridge guests could not praise this lovely hotel highly enough for its superb dining, and “5 star service by its fabulous staff”. The hotel also boasts its own fine, sandy, private beach with sunbeds.

We have INCLUDED for your enjoyment a full day excursion to Lake Garda and Verona. We drive to Sirmione, on the southern shore, and enter via the bridge of the beautiful 13th century Scaligero castle with its “inland dock”. You have free time to explore the old town or take a panoramic walk along the shore before we continue to Verona, and enjoy our guided tour, absorbing Juliette’s famous balcony and ancient roman arena amongst many other famous sights.

And not to forget Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, constructed of 118 islands and far away from cars and traffic, yet brimming with historical buildings and culture. Easily reached by a 20 minute bus ride from your hotel, and a 30 minute boat ride across the lagoon, you are able to enjoy this living museum as many times as you wish to visit!

Also not to miss is a visit to the quaint well preserved Islands of the Lagoon. Burano with its century old lace making industry and brightly coloured fishermen’s houses: Murano, renowned worldwide for its glass making: and Torcello with the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria and its mosaics.

Lido di Jesolo itself offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and tourist facilities in its dozen piazzas & pedestrianised streets. Shop on Via Bafile , Europe’s longest car free avenue, where you will find label conscious clothes boutiques styled on Milan’s fashion houses. The Friday market in the old town of Jesolo offers over 200 stalls and is easily reached by the number one bus for a few euros.

Finally if you are feeling active the hotel offers free bicycles and a 10 km cycle route ensures a safe route around the town. Golfers can enjoy special rates a the 900,000 square metre , 18 hole golf course just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

During your duplicate bridge holidays nothing is obligatory, you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break and in addition to playing bridge, we will always endeavour to provide a minimum of two bridge seminars for breaks of 7 days or more.

All of our bridge holidays include bridge seminars with handouts in addition to a varied and interesting duplicate bridge programme. We use duplimated boards every evening to ensure fairness and consistency. Bridge hand records are provided, as well as bridge partners if needed.

Your duplicate bridge will usually be available twice daily, at 2.30pm and 7.45pm. The afternoon sessions usually finish between 4.45pm and 5pm, the evenings between 10.45pm - 11.15pm. The afternoons are normally given over to open pairs/teams. We endeavour to vary the evening sessions, with a balance between teams and pairs, with at least one Swiss style event during a two-week bridge break.

During all evening sessions, we utilise a duplimate machine, which means we are able to produce hand record sheets at the end of the session and when we have two or more sections, both can play the same hands. On our UK duplicate bridge breaks, provided numbers allow, we usually will lay on an "Early Bird" afternoon session on the day of arrival.

We don’t forget you are on holiday, our bridge programmes allow time for relaxation plus giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding area and relax.
