D-DAY 75 - VOYAGE OF REMEMBRANCE

6th June 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of The D-Day Landings – one of the most remarkable Allied wartime operations.

The Royal British Legion is working with the UK Government and other stakeholders to plan significant commemorations to mark D-Day 75, both in Normandy and across the United Kingdom.

We’re excited to announce that The Royal British Legion, in partnership with Arena Travel, have chartered a ship, the MV Boudicca, to provide a fully funded tour for 300 D-Day Veterans. Each veteran is able to bring one carer who will also be fully funded.

Priority will be given to veterans who participated in the D-Day Landings, with the remaining spaces allocated to Normandy Veterans via a ballot.

To apply for a place on the MV Boudicca, please download and print the following three forms:

APPLYING FOR THE VOYAGE

Complete the eligibility form in its entirety and return to Arena Travel by Monday 4 February 2019 at:

Arena Travel
Explorer House
2 Betts Avenue
Martlesham Heath
Ipswich
Suffolk IP5 3RH

After your application has been received, you will receive a telephone call from a Royal British Legion representative who will confirm your eligibility.

Your entry and this telephone call does not automatically entitle applicants to a place on board the MV Boudicca, but to a place in the ballot. The results of the ballot will be confirmed by Arena Travel via post before the end of February 2019.

If you are unsuccessful in the ballot, you will have the option to remain on a reserve list in case a place subsequently becomes available.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following of guests who appreciate a sense of class and timeless elegance not seen or experienced on modern 'megaships'. On board the emphasis is on providing an intimate and more traditional sailing experience, with style and ambience more suited to English a country house.

Thanks to an extensive refurbishment of the ship's suites, bedrooms, restaurants, lounges and facilities, up to 880 persons can relax and enjoy spacious surroundings in comfort. As you explore you can indulge yourself with delicious dinners in the Four Seasons, Tintagel or the Heligan Room restaurants; take a dip in one of the three heated pools; watch a show in the Neptune Lounge; simply relax on the Sun Deck; enjoy al fresco dining at The Grill; and much more, without ever feeling overcrowded.
