Join Pat Archibald for a fabulous long weekend of quilting, sightseeing and textile discovery! Now in its 14th year the Prague Patchwork Meeting is a truly international experience with exhibitors from across Europe as well as Canada, USA, Taiwan, Australia, South Korea and Japan. Boasting four halls of galleries and shops there's plenty to see and do for quilters of all levels of experience. But your Prague experience doesn't end there! During two half days of sightseeing our local guide will show us the highlights of this beautiful city including the Astronomical Clock, Prague Castle and the iconic Charles Bridge, along with visits to the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Old-New Jewish Synagogue and the Mucha Museum. What’s more Pat will host two workshops in the hotel with a specially designed project for you to stitch as a memento of this fantastic holiday.

DAY 1: LONDON - PRAGUE

Meet Pat and your Tour Manager at London Heathrow airport for the flight to Prague. On arrival we’ll transfer to our hotel where we enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. It’s the perfect way to meet and get to know your fellow stitchers.

DAY 2: PRAGUE PATCHWORK MEETING

Today is a chance to immerse yourself in the world of quilts at the Prague Patchwork Meeting. Some 30 galleries display the collections of artists from all over the world showcasing contemporary to traditional to art quilts. There’s also a vast shopping mall to tempt your quilting wants and needs!

DAY 3: SIGHTSEEING TOUR & HAND STITCHING WORKSHOP

This morning we’ll enjoy a guided sightseeing tour showing us the highlights of Prague. It includes visits to the Old-New Jewish Synagogue and the Museum of Decorative Arts with its glass, ceramic, porcelain and textile collections. After the tour there’ll be time at leisure for lunch in the city before we return to the hotel where Pat will introduce a specially designed project for you to hand stitch during the first of two workshops.

DAY 4: SIGHTSEEING TOUR & HAND STITCHING WORKSHOP

Prague Castle is a highlight of this morning’s guided tour, which also includes the famous astronomical clock and historic Charles Bridge adorned with thirty statues of saints. We’ll explore by coach and also on foot before enjoying some time at leisure. This afternoon we enjoy a second afternoon of stitching with Pat. Our farewell dinner promises something special! At the Folklore Garden we raise a glass in a traditional Slavic Toast before dining on tasty dishes made from original Czech recipes handed down through the generations. Sit back and enjoy an evening of entertainment with dancers and musicians in traditional costumes from across the Czech Republic and Moravia playing folk instruments and performing traditional Czech songs, dances and games.

DAY 5: PRAGUE - LONDON

This morning is at leisure. You may wish to take the tram to the centre for some last-minute exploration and shopping. Alternatively, you can relax in the public lounges of the hotel and enjoy some last-minute stitching. In the afternoon we transfer to the airport for the return flight to London.
