Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula and Kingdom of Kerry

We board our flight to Cork where our coach awaits and transfers us to our hotel in Bantry Bay.  Enjoy dinner this evening at the hotel. 

After breakfast we head to Glengarriff to board the Harbour Queen ferry and travel over to Garnish Island. This small island of 37 acres is home to gardens which were created over 70 years ago by the then owner of the island, Annan Bryce, and Harold Peto, architect, and garden designer. We return by ferry back to the mainland after time spent visiting the gardens.

We continue our scenic journey to the small tranquil town town of Kenmare on the wild Atlantic way in the south of County Kerry. The town is a popular tourist destination and is noted for its cosy pubs and good food. We make a stop here to enjoy the town, before heading on to Castleisland where we check-in to our hotel for a four-night stay. We enjoy dinner this evening.
 

Today we are joined by a local guide for our day on the world-famous historical Dingle Peninsula, the backdrop to many a film including ‘Ryan’s Daughter’. With amazing mountain scenery, spectacular views, hidden bays, dramatic cliffs and golden beaches, this Peninsula has it all. One of the most picturesque and charming fishing towns in Ireland is Dingle Town.
We take a stop here to enjoy the town and take an included harbour cruise. Onboard you will enjoy great scenery and many notable landmarks, including Dingle lighthouse, Hussey’s Folley and Eask Tour. After our day exploring this beautiful Peninsula, we head back to our hotel and enjoy dinner this evening.

After breakfast we head to Killarney.
On arrival we board a lake cruiser and set upon a voyage through Killarney’s largest and most picturesque lake, Lough Léin. From the comfort of our cruiser, we enjoy views of the National Park with its majestic mountains and hear the folklore and legends of the area with live commentary from your captain. We return to shore and enjoy the unique beauty of Killarney National Park onboard a traditional Horse-drawn Jaunting Car as we head into the centre of killarney itself. You now have plenty of time at leisure to enjoy Killarney and its quaint stores to its lovely eateries.  
We return later this afternoon to our hotel in Castleisland where dinner is included this evening.

We are joined by a local guide for a trip along the beautiful Ring of Kerry. The area is known for its outstanding natural beauty, charming towns and villages such as Sneem, Glenbeigh and Waterville. The beautiful scenery gently glides by on what is often called, one of the finest drives in the world. With stops along the way, we take time to enjoy this truly wonderful day, before heading back to our hotel in Castleisland, for dinner this evening.

Today we make our way to Cork airport for our flight home.
