Festive Chatsworth and White Christmas the Musical

Make your own way to our hotel in North Derbyshire where you will meet our Tour Manager and enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner.

This morning we board our coach and head to the city of Nottingham, known for its role in the Robin Hood legend. From Old Market Square, Nottingham’s shopping streets spread out in every direction. Spacious avenues provide quick direct routes across the city’s compact centre, allowing you to reach even the most distant shops in no time at all. There will be some free time to explore and perhaps visit one of the city’s many eateries for lunch before heading to the Theatre Royal, to enjoy an afternoon musical performance of White Christmas. Direct from the West End, the show arrives in Nottingham on its UK Tour. This spectacular production of Irving Berlin’s classic musical, White Christmas, will surely kick the festive season off.  We join the all-singing and dancing Army veterans, known as the duo, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, as they follow Betty and Judy, the Haynes Sister’s to a lodge in Vermont, for a very special Christmas show. This timeless classic with the most famous festive song ‘White Christmas’ will be an afternoon of entertainment not to be missed.  After the show, we return by coach to the hotel for dinner this evening.

We will enjoy breakfast before we head into the Peak District for a short visit to the charming market town of Bakewell. This idyllic town sits on the banks of the river Wye with its medieval five-arched bridge. Bakewell is the largest town in the Peak District National Park and is famous for the Bakewell pudding. You will have time to browse around the town before we head to Chatsworth House. On arrival, you will be given a light lunch voucher to use at leisure, before you explore the grounds and gardens and of course the stunning house itself. Every festive season Chatsworth House never fails to impress with its wonderful Christmas display. Enjoy a mesmerising walk through beautifully decorated rooms, each one, a sight to behold. You truly feel the magic of Christmas here at Chatsworth! After, we will return to our hotel for dinner this evening.

After breakfast, you’re free to check out of the hotel and make your way home at leisure.
