Overnight we cruise back into Scottish waters, arriving in the colourful waterfront town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Explore the picturesque harbour with its brightly painted houses and colourful wooden fishing boats, pop into the museum and art gallery for a spot of local culture, or discover the region’s plentiful wildlife. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the idyllic neighbouring island of Iona. This sacred isle holds a unique place in Scottish history, as the final resting place for 48 Kings of Scotland, including Macbeth, and the cradle of Christianity in Scotland, where the legendary Book of Kells was written. Wander the breathtaking white-sand beaches, explore the medieval abbey, observe the superb wildlife, or join one of our optional excursions: traditional Hebridean weaving, Iona Abbey tour, or a day tour of Mull and Iona.
