Gemini Explorer

St Hilda Sea Adventures

Your floating home for this Hebridean adventure is the Gemini Explorer. A historic ex-cruising lifeboat that’s been completely refitted, though parts of the vessel reflect her fascinating heritage. She is small enough to anchor in remote, secluded locations in the sea lochs and islands of the Inner Hebrides.

Ship highlights

  • Small friendly groups. No more than 8 passengers per departure
  • Travel aboard ex-cruising lifeboat
  • A Truly unique experience
  • Sail the beautiful Lochs and Islands of Scotland

Ship Facilities

Dining Room
The chef will serve fresh, home-cooked meals using locally sourced food and speciality produce, to give you a true taste of the Highlands. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are also provided, and a fresh fruit basket is available throughout the day. You also have the opportunity to fish from the ship, with your catch prepared for dinner.

The deck saloon is the ideal spot to relax, socialise and sit in comfort to watch the landscapes and wildlife as we cruise. House wine and lager is available with the aperitif and evening meal, and guests may bring other drinks on board should they wish. Gemini Explorer also has an honesty bar with a small selection of malt whiskies.

Sun Deck
The outdoor sun decks on both ships allow for wildlife spotting and relaxing. There’s space to store any equipment you may wish to bring aboard, such as windsurfs or kitesurfs, and there’s a twin-person sea kayak for guests to borrow.

Cabin Types

Gemini Explorer accommodates up to eight guests in a combination of double, twin and single cabins. Most of the cabins have en suites with washbasin, lavatory and shower, while two cabins share facilities with the crew.
