Autumn Bridge in Llandudno

This autumn bridge holiday will be held at the fabulous Merrion Hotel in Llandudno, popular among bridge players and highly recommended by fellow bridge guests and staff. With an excellent location and superb dining, this beachfront family-run hotel is set in a Victorian townhouse across the road from North Shore Beach. It is an 8-minute walk from the Great Orme Tramway and Llandudno Pier, and a 4-minute walk from the town centre's shops and restaurants. Which? magazine named Llandudno the second most popular seaside resort in the United Kingdom. From your hotel, take in the stunning views of the Great Orme and walk along this iconic limestone headland. Further afield, why not visit the impressively preserved 13th-century Conway Castle or Bodnant Gardens, a historic, Grade I listed world-class horticultural garden in Wales.

Itinerary

Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.

Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.

Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams. On UK holidays, bridge sessions may take place in the mornings instead of the afternoons, complimenting any included excursion programme.

Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.

During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.

Make your way to the Merrion Hotel in Llandudno to meet our bridge team and get acquainted with your fellow players. Singles meeting to find a partner if needed, welcome drink and dinner followed by evening bridge.
