Holiday Overview
At the entrance of Boka Bay where the turquoise Adriatic Sea meets the mighty mountains of Montenegro, the 4-star superior Carine Hotel Kumbor boasts the most stunning location. This well-appointed and modern hotel only opened its doors in 2019. It is ideally located, just 6 kilometres from the historic centre of Herceg Novi with its famous clock tower, winding cobbled streets and flower courtyards. The hotel terraces are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the most stunning views imaginable across the bay or the terracotta rooftops of the villages dotting the hillsides, especially with the all-inclusive board and superb beachside facilities the hotel has to offer.
Our included boat trip around the Bay of Kotor will take you into Herceg Novi where the old town and Mare Fortress await. We also include a full day tour of Montenegro. We visit Kotor, the most famous historic walled city in Montenegro, with its medieval buildings, cobbled squares, cathedral, and Romanesque churches all within the city walls. We also visit Cetinje, the formal royal capital of the Kingdom of Montenegro, where not much has changed since the 19th century, making it the best place to discover the country's history and culture.
A short stroll from the hotel will take you to the exclusive Poronovi marina. Here, you can do some serious shopping, sip a cocktail, or try to spot an A-lister descending from his luxury yacht!

Your Bridge Programme
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
We fly from London Gatwick to Tivat or Dubrovnik Airport and transfer to our hotel. Manchester and Bristol airports are available at a supplement.
Alternatively, if you have made your own travel arrangements, we will meet you at the hotel.

Montenegro (Day 4)
Join us on a tour of Montenegro and learn all about the history and culture of this fascinating, diverse country. We spend a full day here, including a visit to Kotor, one of the most famous, historic cities in Montenegro.
Our guided walking tour takes us past medieval buildings, cobbled squares, and Romanesque churches, all within its city walls. We continue to the former capital, Cetinje, where you can view the Royal Palace, historic churches, the former government building, and Cetinje Monastery. We stop for lunch before our included visit to the famous Bilijarda Museum, former residence of Montenegro’s former prince-bishop and 19th-century poet, and aptly named as it housed Montenegro’s first billiards table!
You will have free time to explore this tiny town, with its small pastel-coloured low-rise buildings, and laid-back atmosphere.
Bay of Kotor Boat Trip (Day 9)
We take a boat trip on the Bay of Kotor and stop for free time in the beautiful coastal town of Herceg Novi, famous for its healing sea mud and other spa and wellness facilities. Wander around this delightful, cobbled old town with its abundance of shops and famous clock tower and fortresses guarding the coastline.
