Holiday Overview
The Villa Pace Park Hotel Bolognese is a historic 19th-century villa that has been restored into a beautiful 95 bedroom 4-star superior hotel. It sits in 10,000 m2 of rich parkland, just outside of Treviso. We dine in the beautiful conservatory and relax in the elegant lounges between our bridge sessions. The location is perfect for exploring Venice and the surrounding area. Regular buses stop directly outside our hotel. A 10-minute drive takes you into the centre of the lovely, walled city of Treviso, and the centre of Venice is easily reached by a 20-minute bus journey.
We have included an excursion into the Venetian countryside to delightful Bassano del Grappa, known for its wooden 13th-century Ponte Vecchio bridge spanning the river Brenta. View the frescos on the walls of the Bonaguro Palace, and amble through the Palladian-style arcades where you can buy the famous local pottery. Of course, we make a stop at the Grappa Museum for a tasting! Our second tour takes us to the Anno Domini vineyards for a tour and prosecco tasting.
The hotelier, Signora Angelica Semenzato, is a keen bridge player and is very much looking forward to meeting you all and welcoming fellow bridge players to her charming establishment.

Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
Bassano del Grappa with Grappa Museum Visit and Tasting (Day 4)
We travel by coach to Bassano del Grappa, the most famous town in Vicenza. Visit the historical wooden bridge, the Ponte Vecchio, spanning the Brenta River at its narrowest point. It was here during the First World War, that Italian troops passed over this bridge to defend the territories. The views of the town and mountains are breathtaking. There will be free time for sightseeing and shopping. We complete our day out with a visit to the Grappa Museum, where we have a guided tour and an opportunity to taste the distillery's iconic Grappa products.
The Vineyards 47 Anno Domini (Day 6)
Our afternoon tour takes us to the vineyards 47 Anno Domini where we will have an opportunity to learn all about prosecco through the senses. Our Sommelier will guide us through its cellars, and we will taste different prosecco and cabinet Argille, accompanied by cheese and cured meats of the region.Included Meals

Depart the hotel after breakfast for your transfer and return flight to the UK, alternatively, if you have made your own travel arrangements, you will check out of the hotel and make your own way home.
