We have an exclusive area at the front of the ship for our bridge sessions that will hold 6 tables, and we will play every evening after dinner and a couple of afternoons when the ship is sailing or between tours. The bridge will be directed by our EBU director and prizes will be awarded, but we will not award Masterpoints.

Bridge will be relaxed and friendly, allowing you to enjoy the river cruise, and visit so many beautiful places, whilst sharing the experience with new found bridge friends.

Say goodbye to winter and hello to Spring with this delightful river cruise bursting with vibrant colours and incredible sights when you visit the famous Keukenhof, the Garden of Europe, one of the world’s largest and most beautiful spring gardens. Walk among seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths before continuing your journey through the Dutch countryside featuring iconic windmills and model gardens. We cross into Belgium where we visit the must-see Floralia Spring Flower Show, take a tour to the National Botanic Garden of Belgium and the Plant Palace, and explore Antwerp before returning to the Netherlands.

The MS Arena is the new four-star ship in the Arena Travel River Cruise Collection, and has all the ingredients of an unforgettable river cruise offering comfort, style and a top class crew who offer unfaltering attention to detail.

All of our spacious cabins on board the MS Arena feature outward-facing floor to ceiling panoramic windows with French balconies, allowing you to take in the wonderful views of the river and surroundings from the comfort of your cabin.

Travel to Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, where you will board our ship before enjoying dinner and evening bridge.

The day is free at your leisure to explore this fascinating city with its narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the 17th century Golden Age. Maybe take a canal boat trip down the elaborate waterways, visit Anne Frank’s House or the Van Gogh Museum? Or just relax on deck watching daily life go by on the canal boats and waterways. Whatever you decide to do you will be spoilt for choice. Dinner and evening bridge.

This morning we reach Kinderdijk which is renowned for its 19 beautifully preserved windmills. Our included excursion visits two of the mills, where we learn about the lifestyle of a miller and the mechanism of the mill. We return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Dordrecht where we spend the afternoon. If you wish to explore, a pleasant 15 minute walk takes you into the centre or you can join an afternoon bridge session on board the ship. Dinner is served and bridge is played as we sail to Antwerp this evening.

We arrive in Antwerp this morning and take our included excursion to Floralia, the spring flower show held in the grounds of Chateau de Grand Bigard, where you can wander among more than a million bulbs and admire the glasshouse exhibits. We return to the ship for lunch and then the remainder of the day is free to explore Antwerp which is renowned for its skilled diamond cutters and cherished artist Peter Paul Reubens. This evening’s dinner will be followed by bridge.

This morning’s included excursion takes you to the National Botanic Garden of Belgium and the Plant Palace. This is one of the largest botanic gardens in the world, which also boasts an enormous glasshouse filled with more than 10,000 plant species. We return to the ship for lunch and afternoon bridge and begin cruising overnight to Rotterdam. This evening’s dinner will be followed by bridge.

After breakfast, our coach departs for our included excursion to Keukenhof Gardens where there are over seven million bulbs on show. You can follow the pathways which surround shimmering lakes, ancient trees and wonderful works of art, browse the pavilions, find your way around the hedge maze and enjoy the entertainment taking place throughout the day. This evening we enjoy our final dinner on board the ship and play a short session of bridge before sailing overnight to Amsterdam.

We bid farewell to our captain and crew after breakfast and set off on the return journey.
