Dom Rayner

I am a professional bridge player and coach. I learnt to play bridge when I was a young boy watching my parents play with my auntie and uncle. It wasn't until I was around 19 or 20 before I actually started to play bridge for myself, and it was quite an odd experience because as a child I had been absorbing all of the rules and techniques, so I knew how to play, but I didn't realise that I did!

After going through 3 years worth of lessons in only 3 weeks (because I found them too easy!), I decided to just start playing at my local club in Sheffield. A few months later I was spotted by an England scout when playing one evening at Sheffield Bridge Club and I was invited to train with the England u26 squad. Fast forward a few years, after playing in various tournaments for Sheffield, Yorkshire and England juniors, I decided to make bridge my career, rather than just my hobby. My lessons started in 2016, and ever since then, I've never looked back.

I've taken great joy from teaching players from brand new beginners all the way up to experts, and I still love it to this day. Whether you are a complete beginner, or more advanced, I am sure you will love learning bridge with me! Give it a try!
